Remember that systems distributors or system programs offered by a broadline distributor are very different from regular service programs.
Systems means that you'll get a better price (based on the number of multi-unti accounts) you offer but it also means organization. And corporate purchasing agents need to be sure that their foodservice operation level chefs or managers can be organized enough to order based on a system and larger than normal advance notice.
If you're not yet ready for a systems relationship, stick with a general broadline distribution program. Service will likely be more important than price until your foodservice operations are organized enough to go another direction. |
