Sun Rich Fresh Foods To Open Fresh-Cut Fruit Processing Facility

Reading, PA – Brian Tieszen, President of Sun Rich Fresh Foods Inc., today announced the groundbreaking for Sun Rich’s fourth fresh-cut fruit processing facility, to be located in Reading, PA.

Sun Rich is a leading North American, independently owned, fresh-cut fruit processing company with facilities in Vancouver, Toronto, and Los Angeles. Due to increasing consumer demand for healthy fresh foods, Sun Rich continues to expand.

“We need a fourth facility to meet the North American demand for fresh-cut fruit,” Tieszen explained, “and Reading is a great location for Sun Rich. Reading appealed to us because of the proximity to our Northeast customer base as well as established distribution routes,” he said. “We are excited to be part of the Reading and larger Berks county communities - Our values of Excellence, Service to All People, Safety, and Entrepreneurial Spirit align well with Reading’s revitalization plans and we look forward to hiring local people and supporting the local community.”

Sun Rich anticipates the Reading facility to open in late 2007.
